Not only used to flavour gin, the juniper berry is mainly used in Northern European cooking. Bart Juniper Berries are dark, spicy and aromatic.

The berries can be used whole or crushed and have a clear, sharp flavour with a slight peppery taste. Used in both sweet and savoury dishes they a depth of flavour to any stew. Go game, venison, wild boar, rabbit or duck.

Use crushed with other spices as a meat rub or go sweet and add to a rich fruit cake or spicy apple tart.
